Updates on Preschool

This is the image for the news article titled Updates on PreschoolIt is with great anticipation that we approach this unusual new school year. Now, more than ever, parents are partners in the education of children, and this begins in the critical pre-school years. We are proud of the work that we have done to create quality Pre-school programming for both students with disabilities and their peers.

The pre-school environment brings some additional challenges for safety in the time of a global pandemic. It is difficult to maintain social distancing mandates, sanitize play equipment, and encourage the use of masks for our youngest students. We have spoken with many families who are not comfortable placing their child in an environment where these safety measures are harder to achieve. For this reason, we will be limiting our pre-school services to distance learning until October 2. Special education services will still be provided via a remote or in person learning format, and high quality instruction will continue to be the hallmark of our program.

This decision was not made lightly. We are excited to open our doors, but feel that a slight delay will allow us to prepare for the safest environment possible.

Thank you, and please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns,
